Take a Tour of the Alluring IONIQ “SEVEN” Concept

Much of what you can see in the IONIQ 9 was first revealed in Hyundai’s “SEVEN” concept. This showcase alluded to a new, square-ish theme that you could see in the wheel arches, lighting features, and entire rear fascia. Some futuristic elements were introduced like pop-out buttons, cameras, and a gear shift. But perhaps the most exciting scene featured the rear cabin area being used as a party lounge in place of your traditional seating arrangements.

Many key decisions have been made since this big reveal, so how much has remained the same for the IONIQ 7, or in this case, the IONIQ 9? We’re about to go over the most notable changes to the concept model and what has been carried over for eager buyers to enjoy.

What Style Changes Have Been Made?

In the end, Hyundai went with a more traditional SUV style while keeping many of the modern aesthetics and features that people had hoped for since the IONIQ 7 concept’s reveal.

Here’s what you can expect in the upcoming IONIQ 9:

Many SUV owners can agree that practicality matters most above all else. In the IONIQ 9, you can expect plenty of convenience features like a wireless smartphone charger complete with wireless connectivity, two enlarged cup holders, and an electronic gear shifter that’s been transported to the steering column. Hyundai also took a step back and implemented physical center controls that are more easily accessible compared to fully touchscreen setups.

Those interested in the IONIQ 9 will be glad to know that the unconventional cabin layout that was introduced in the SEVEN concept is here to stay, although with minimal changes. Aside from a full lounge area with an L-shaped couch, the 2nd-row chairs swivel around so all rear passengers can face each other and socialize during the drive.

Spouting a Family-Friendly Electric Platform

The IONIQ 9 will be an excellent choice for bigger families looking to benefit from all-electric driving with plenty of miles and NACS charge port compatibility straight from the factory:

  • On a full charge, the IONIQ 9 will range from 230-300 total miles
  • The IONIQ 9 will range from 214-350 horsepower between RWD and AWD models
  • It will take around 25 minutes to get the IONIQ 9’s battery to 80%
  • NACS is supported at over 12,000 locations across America

Estimated Price Range For the IONIQ 9

For having an exciting new cabin layout and added features from the SEVEN concept that took prospectors by storm, the upcoming IONIQ 9 3-row all-electric SUV is speculated to range from as low as $50k-$70k.
